Fairy Identification Help

A long time ago I read something about a fairy man who always traveled with a little white pig. He apparently was only visible/helpful to children. Does anyone know what he's called? I'm thinking it might be Irish/Welsh in origin.

Awesome story!! I love it! I love reading about the Fae and their antics. I've read a lot of stories that indicate that the Fae are devious, charming, beautiful, dangerous and will kill anyone that fall for their charms. I sure hope that stories of the Fae existing are just legends.
