    Favorite poetry

    I love poetry and have recently gotten back into it a work life and children seem to take over your life, then their is time to get back to what you love. May favorite poem is Raven by Edgar Allen Poe and his short stories are vary interesting.

    Person in the backseat

    I agree I always have an urge to check my car before getting into it. Maybe it is because I live near two of the worst cities of the USA (Detroit and Pontiac, MI) anything could happen though!

    Cyber monday

    As the day is winding down on Cyber Monday did anyone score big on sales today over the internet? I bought a couple toys for the kids and a snow sled for my niece and I get a cash back amount so that was neat!

    Bad habits that are difficult to break

    My addiction is food also. I love to bake cookie, cakes, and bread. And when I am in the mood to bake I bake A LOT! Someone has to eat it all! My hubby does take it to work and my son helps too.

    Video games

    I love RPG games. I play (although they are older) Baulder Gate 1 and 2 and I love Fate on the computer and Fable! I have most recently purchase a WII so just figuring it out and play WII resorts with the family is a lot of fun!

    Where do you stand when it comes to religion?

    I was raised Methodist and will be married non-denominational. I also love to learn of other religions and have been to Baptist, Catholic, Roman Catholic, Methodist, 7th day Adventist and non-denominational church's and I learn at each one.

    Black friday

    I have never went on Black Friday. I prefer Cyber/White Monday. It is similar to Black Friday except the sales are online and are GREAT deals from the comfort of my home. Good luck to all that will venture out tomorrow for a safe return.

    Nordic elements found in lord of the rings

    I don't know much of the Nordic Mythology, but now I want to start studying it. I have always loved the Lord of The Rings and have both sets of books (original and movie based) and the extended/box set version of the movies.

    Stonhenge

    I often wonder that also Talaria. Stone henge has always interested me. I also like the Ley Line theory and have heard the aliens stone circles story Dianna is talking about. I like the Merlin story best.

    Which greek god do you resemble?

    I also got Gaea for my top match as some of you did. My second one was Eirene, goddess of peace. So I much just be the earthly, motherly, loving type and that fits me perfectly.

    Similarities

    I would have to agree that Odin was the better 'father god'. I did not know that Gandalf was based on Odin, but it makes complete sense. I love LOTR!!!

    Research shows the first phase is from circa 3100 BC, the bluestones about 2600 and the sarsens a hundred or so years after that.However, there is a mysterious rise inside which had yielded mesolithic material, so there may have been something on the site some 8000 years ago.

    The story of Perseus is the story I think is exactly what is meant by karma coming back to hit you. Perseus threw a discus and hit his grandfather killing him.

    What is your favorite tale from Greek Mythology?

    When I was little I always loved the story of how Pegasus was a winged horse and came out of Medusa when she was be-headed by Persues. This is how I was introduced into Greek Mythology. Like many others of you my favorite now is Pandora's Box.

    I worked as a restaurant manager for 10 years and I also would have to agree that the full moon does bring out the out of control, aggressive behavior in people.

    January full moon

    The Full Moon in January is called the Wolf Moonin the Native Americans Mythology (Algonquain tribes). They have many names throughout the year for the full moon that goes with the seasons (hunting, fishing, and farming).

    Roman Myths suitable forkids

    I have to agree (depending on her age) that you may want to wait to entice her with the lovely world of mythology. I did not start studying it until I was in my early 20's and still am trying to understand it.

    Titan Punishments?

    Iapetus was the one that held Uranus down when Cronus castrated him with the sickle. His punishment was to be cast into the Tartarean pit by Zeus at the end of the Titan War.

    Roman or greek

    Which one do you like more? I really enjoy the Greek Mythology, but have been researching the Roman style recently. They seem to be really similar in a lot of aspects.

    Atlantis do you believe?

    I would love to believe that Atlantis actually existed. And Aenirin I also would have loved it if I could believe Middle Earth existed as I love all the stories by Tlokien!
