Our local newspaper came out with a story not long ago, asking that everyone who uses syringes, not to flush them down the toilet. It seems that one of the sanitation engineers at the local water treatment plant had been stuck with one. So I guess all of the heroin and meth users now can't inject themselves unless they promise to place the used syringes in a proper biohazard waste container. Geez!

Wow, if you can't flush a feminine hygiene product down the toilet, why would somebody think to flush a syringe? That is nuts. I really hope the meth and heroine addicts read the paper so they know to dispose of them properly from now on.
