Can anyone here recommend a good book about Pwyll? I am on the hunt for a friend of mine that happens to be an insane book reader, she can take a book and finish it in a day no matter what the subject line.

Can anyone here recommend a good book about Pwyll? I am on the hunt for a friend of mine that happens to be an insane book reader, she can take a book and finish it in a day no matter what the subject line.

The story of Pwyll is told in the First Branch of the Mabinogi.
This story is part of the larger book The Mabinogion.
There are several translations from the Welsh that are available.
One that is well regarded is the Gwynn and Thomas Jones translation.
If you could find the one that is illustrated by Alan Lee, it would be a special treat for your friend.

I might need to look into that. The friend right now is starting their first ever library collection so everyone (as a surprise) is pitching in 3 books each of some of her favorites. She will be moving from the UK to the US (back home from here and a transition for her husband) to get their new retirement home here. We figure within the next 3 years when she finally moves, we will have most of her collection already started.
