Has anyone heard the urban legend that says the mortality rate will go up in July in hospitals? It's supposed to be because the new, inexperienced doctors are coming into the hospitals, especially the teaching hospitals? Actually, this one is true. That's when the newbies get thrown out into the hospitals and the mortality rate does indeed go up in those teaching hospitals. Not a good thing huh?
