Has anyone ever heard of this one before? Apparently in NJ (Monmouth County to be exact) there is a legend that when the native american men returned from fishing in the Ocean, they went to this pond where their sqaws were camped out and waited for them. One evening, a large flock of geese landed on this lake. Overnight, the pond froze. In the morning, the geese took off with the ice from the pond, and to this day, they have never had a pond there again. (Strong geese! )
