There is always a little truth to myth and legend, I believe. Perhaps the dragons weren't a huge as legend tells but there are a lot of things that we imagine bigger to make them seem more impressive.

LyricB has a point. Most marriages were arranged and marriage was more of a business than about love. But a majority of them were just written that way. We all want to love someone afterall and wouldn't it be convient to fall in love at first sight?

Aesop's Fables are lovely, I remember reading them when I was a kid :) But yes, almost all basic morality stories can trace back in some manner to an Aesop story.
