    Vampires

I agree about wikipedia. I have found all sorts of great and obscure info on that site, and to tell you the truth if someone hadn't explained Lillith to me that's probably where I would have went.

    Disney vs the true tales

I guess that's the point when a parent should tell their kids, "Hey, that was an interesting adaptation to the story. Would you like to hear how it really went?"

    Find Mine Too!!

Sweet yes, but doesn't help my fantasy of finding the printed story somewhere and presenting it to him as a gift. Oh, well....

    The story of Endymion?

The whole idea of women getting pregnant from sleeping men seems to be a pretty popular theme in mythology apparently.

    Lilith

Now there's a story I hadn't heard. I'm glad you posted this because in another thread I kept asking everyone to explain the history behind Lilith.

    Shrek: Fairy Tale or Fraud?

I didn't even know there was a third one in the works. I liked the first one but didn't see the second. I consider Shrek more of a fairy tale parody than anything else.

What is the biggest urban legend ever

    Sinbad the sailor

That's one story that I was never really exposed to as a kid. As far as I knew, Sinbad was that comedian.

    New fairy tales?

That's true. There are some relatively new stories which can be fashioned into fairy tales with the right adjustments, I would imagine.

    The Holy Grail

I don't know enough about it to form any sort of solid opinion. I would love to hear from some people who do believe it it though.

good for little girls or not

My daughter has always been drawn to the whole Dinsey Princess thing, even though she has never seen a single Disney movie. She just picks it up from seeing stuff in the store. Those Disney marketing guys are genuises.

What is the biggest urban legend ever

Oh, we did the light as a feather, stiff as a board thing quite a bit and were able to get it to work. Maybe its because it was like twenty of us huddled around a small eight year old.
