    Last king of troezen?

The additional confusion is welcome, haha. Thanks a lot for the info, it is indeed very useful to me.

    Last king of troezen?

Thanks, I wasn't aware of the story about Hippolytus being resurrected. My interest in Troezen is precisely as the scenary of Hippolitus death and the whole thing with Phaedra, I don't think I'll have other use for the city (except for flashbacks to Theseus early years which are before my story...

    Last king of troezen?

In a source naming the kings of Troezen, it says that after Pittheus' rule, the city was added to Argos. That would place the end of it as an independent city near my story (historically it was indeed under Argos rule at some point before becoming again independent), so it would be great to use...

Know any good greek mythology webcomics out there?

I feel the same, it takes forever to tell a story that way and I'm not happy having action or dialogues interrupted for one whole week, it ruins the pace. The problem is I'm not paying the artist, so I'll take whatever he's willing to produce. I still hope in the future to double or triple the...

    Olympic ladies

Very interesting information, Alejandro, as always! I wish I had you as consultant for the work I'm writing, lol, it would had saved me hours and hours of research.

I'm glad there's interest in the project, I hope we won't disappoint you. _ We've had some delays, but we've set a date for the webcomic release by Novemeber 21, in order to coincide with a Comic Con in my country (Caracas Comic Con in Venezuela). _ The artist has some scripted pages in his...

Aktaion's death as revenge for orion's death (or vice versa)

Cronus! Haha, I'll blame him for all chronologic inconsistencies in mythology.

    Olympic ladies

Atalanta is the only one I know of, there may be others though. Deianira was also a rebel and she drove a chariot (chariot racing was part of the ancient Olympics), but I don't think she participated in games as Atalanta did. _ As for the Olympic games (outside of mythology) the problem is that...

Know any good greek mythology webcomics out there?

I think, being optmistic, we can start posting the first pages by September. Although we'll be posting one page weekly, I want to start posting more the first day, not sure yet how many. And we also want to have several pages made in advance, so if there's a delay in production we can still post...

Aktaion's death as revenge for orion's death (or vice versa)

Time-travel would fix many of my problems, lol. Trying to make sense of these stories into one coherent chronology has been a pain to do, but at the same time it's fun connecting the dots or forcing them into place. Sadly there are parts where it's just not possible and I have to make changes...

Aktaion's death as revenge for orion's death (or vice versa)

That association of Orion and Actaeon's stories was very interesting (as well as the following discussion in this thread). In the webcomic I've been developing I put Actaeon's death in the very near past, the characters run into a statue of Actaeon's made by Chiron, and someone tells the tale of...

    Aesop's fables

I looked for "The Ant and the Scarab Beatle" online as I wasn't familiar with the title, but it is indeed the same story as "The Ant and the Grasshopper". I guess since these fables survive from so many different sources, none of which written by Aesop himself, variants are numberless.

    Aesop's fables

The Ant and the Grasshopper was in a fairy tales book my mother used to read me in my childhood, so I guess it will always be my favorite for nostalgic reasons.

    Favourite initial olympian

I find the many characterizations I've seen in fiction of Zeus and Poseidon, affects negatively my appreciation for them both. I like Hades the most, followed by Demeter and Hestia. I don't think I like Hera that much.

Know any good greek mythology webcomics out there?

Cool, I'll let you know. We're still at the early stages, though, so it will take a while. I'm still writing the first chapter and the artist will just start making character designs out of my descriptions. We're also looking for a colorist, but no luck with that so far. In a couple of weeks or...

Know any good greek mythology webcomics out there?

Cool, will be looking forward to it! The one I'm writing is an ongoing story about a woman named Klea. It begins when she's selected as one of seven girls from Athens to be sacrificed to the Minotaur, so at first we'll get to deal with that part of Theseus story. Later she will go her own way...

Yes, that comic always put a smile on my face. Sadly, there's been no updates in a long time, I hope the author (Istoria) returns to it some day. Glad to hear you liked Mytholol and found some good stuff in the other link! I'll make sure to post the link to my own comic here when we publish the...
