When Percy Jackson came out I watched it with my family and spent the entire time pointing out the inconsistencies between myth and movie. I couldn't help it!I don't have one. All the Greek myth based movies I've seen so far have been too inaccurate for me to like them much at all, really.
Maybe a harpy? A harpy has the head of a woman, and body of a bird. Or was the whole creature bird? Brad Pitt sounds right as Sinbad....some giant bird thing. I'm pretty sure Sinbad's character was voiced by Brad Pitt.
I couldn't help but notice everything that was wrong with it. Friendly centaurs, interacting with the humans (or demi gods) (they're supposed to be arrogant and less than friendly), for example. The movie just bugged me on many levels. (Don't get me started on their depiction of Medusa.)When Percy Jackson came out I watched it with my family and spent the entire time pointing out the inconsistencies between myth and movie. It was a giant blue and white bird...a snow bird I think they called it, but I can't remember.Maybe a harpy? A harpy has the head of a woman, and body of a bird. Or was the whole creature bird? Brad Pitt sounds right as Sinbad.
I agree entirely. Every aspect of the movie was wrong. Starting with the fact that, after the Trojan War, the gods swore that they would no longer interact with human affairs, including having relationships with them. Gods can't break their oaths or they will lose their god powers and, inevitably be killed, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't risk it for a few dozen flings.I couldn't help but notice everything that was wrong with it. I assume that's all you mean by "liking" them. Because, yes, they are much closer to how they are originally depicted, by, in my opinion, being no where near likeable, and extremely arrogant. (I hate the entire lot of them with the exception of Firenze -- Firenze I like.) Like in myth though, there is one centaur who breaks from the rest of the herd by actually trying to be friendly (Firenze).I liked the centaurs in Harry Paotter. They were much better depictions of the mythological version.
