What do you guys think is the scariest character in Greek Mythology? For me it would be Cyclops. I had a book with some scary illustrations about him as a kid and I have nightmares about him sometimes. That big eye staring at me just gives me the chills!

The minotaur terrifies me, the half-god, half-bull that was imprisoned in the labrinyth and fed an annual sacrifice of seven youths and seven maidens from Athens. In my imagination it is a particularly chilling and disgusting idea.

Hmmmmm, for me, it could be the duo Scylla and Charybdis! I won't be able to sail safely if these two are present! Scylla with 6(?) heads emerging from her waist will devour your ship (and you, as well!!!) and Charybdis who'll suck the water and will form a whirlpool.... for me, it's scary because also, I can't swim! :p

The Cetea, the Greek monsters of the deep. Even just really deep water scares me, because I never can know what's swimming around beneath me. *Shiver* Especially dark, deep water. *Sh-sh-shiver* So, also, Jormungandr from the Norse myths.

Yes I don't like jormungandr. I don't like snakes because of him. Also I do not like the shades of HAdes

I'm gonna hav to go with Empusa on this one. The Empousai were a class of man-eating, shape-shifting demonesses whose mother Hekate, the goddess of ghosts and witchcraft, would send them, from the depths of the Underworld, into our world to frighten travellers. The Empusa usually appeared in the form of a monstrous woman with mismatched legs, one of brass, and the other of a donkey. Simply free-kay!
